The Macherei Berlin-Kreuzberg is a modern building complex consisting of three residential-commercial buildings, located on the border between the two districts: Berlin-Mitte and Berlin-Kreuzberg.

 

The pearl of the Macherei quarters, the M40 (also called „Das Holzcarré“) is built using the innovative timber-hybrid CREE System. The eight-storey building, located near Potsdamer Platz, combines office-, event-, local food supply-, and retail spaces on an area of 27,800 m².

 

Designed by a renowned Berlin architectural office ROBERTNEUN, M40 highlights human-centered approach in creating healthy working landscapes: flexibly adaptable areas which can be tailored to any need, floor-to-ceiling windows surrounding the façade, optimal lighting and room climate conditions are only a few of the benefits which M40 offers to its tenants. The natural “feel” is supported by the exposed timber structure and an abundance of outdoor terraces and green inner courtyards.
