About

W15 in Stuttgart

With high demands on climate protection and low resource consumption, the “W15” completes the Wissenscampus (Knowledge Campus) of the real estate developer WÖHR + BAUERin Stuttgart. The new development of the business park is thus entering its final phase.

The new innovative 5-story building, using CREE timber hybrid construction, is not only the first timber hybrid property of WÖHR + BAUER, but also a novelty for Stuttgart. The project complements the existing building at Weissacher Strasse 11 and continues the identity-creating architecture of the Wissenscampus. According to the designs of Stuttgart-based wma architekten, a two-story entrance building serves as a second main entrance into the new office ensemble, creating a strong address for knowledge and innovation-driven companies.

After receiving initial support from CREE HQ in Dornbirn, the CREE partner, Brüninghoff Bausysteme GmbH & Co. KG, was commissioned to implement the project as the general contractor, in collaboration with the Gottlob Rommel Group within a joint working group. While Rommel is responsible for the in-situ concrete work for the basement and stairwell cores, Brüninghoff ensures that all CREE System components are prefabricated, delivered just in time, and assembled on-site in only 2 months. Brüninghoff’s commitment to producing and assembling the CREE System to the highest quality standards subsequently enables Rommel to carry out swift and uncomplicated final finishing work.
